This is not a good day to do anything but….that’s what blogging is all about. Yesterday was a fantastic day in every respect. My good programmer was even pleased with my ‘Atmic” blog. “That is the whole point” he said this morning on Skype. He said a lot of really good stuff this morning. He said that you must pray to yourself to save yourself, not to anyone else, He said that the guru is the Atma. “Atma is like water, mix it fruit juice and it is sweet like the bhakthi path. IF it’s only water it is pure and has no taste. God is myself. I am All. Atma is omnipresent and gives us wisdom. That police officer you hugged yesterday was peaceful You thought he was giving love but actually the love was coming from you, you transmitted it to him.. We can’t love each individual (being Indian I think he was a bit worried about the hug from a strange man) You really only love yourself. The Atmic spirit is the inner self. Love yourself as God. The next stage is to love the higher self and finally love the Paramatma. We must spread around the fragrance of devotion.
True spirituality has nothing to do with compassion or seva. Hinduism teaches us to transform ourselves into God. It is scientific It gives us practical inward adventures like the one you spoke of last time in the blog.
Hinduism teaches us to be God. A nd Swami likes to use our brakes and our accelerator to get us there; pleasure and pain, good and bad experiences. Yesterday was such a wonderful day. It was perfect causing me to think. “ah ha, I’ve got this doctor’s appointment today, better step carefully, but I didn’t step carefully enough. Started out normally enough with my sister and I walking Mickey Mouse, her little dog. We walk up to the corner cross the street walk down to our driveway, cross and turn in. For awhile I would walk around the hibiscus bush and pick huge red flowers for the various Goddesses of the house. The bush stopped giving me the flowers I think because I was greedy! First would take a flower to my Mother’s ashes, next a flower to the picture of her mother who was a very religious woman and I remember that she use to bless us kids. We laughed. No spirituality here at that time. Then I gave a flower to Daddy’s mother’s picture who glares down from the mantel and finally one to my sister who is every inch the supreme goddess but would kill me if she read this.
OK then we watched the John Steward Show and I sat on my bed. I looked thru some papers and saw the sum of $776 on a paper. I remembered that it was the amount given to me by my online account with bofa. I don’t have a printer so I had….wait a minute and I had told that nice bank manager that I had 2000 and I wrote a check for that amount to clear that account. Hmmm, I ran to my divine sister, “I am overdrawn by $1300, the amount of my air ticket and…” She brought out a large dark brown portfolio. “YOU ARE GOING TO GET ORGANIZED NOW. Here are folders, red and green pens. Take everything out of that envelope you’ve been carrying around and put BANk things here in this folder and health things in this folder here, We must go soon to the doctor. And take that dumb mask off your face…all the way off I don’t want to see it.” “But Betty, I have a virus and you…” “You have an allergy, here, eat this soup before you go out. But Betty, it has meat in it. So, Swami will have to understand! UH Nah…. “ OK then” and she showed me something else to heat in the microwave.. “You don’t need to let it cook for three minutes we are in a hurry and never mind, I’ll put 2,000 in your account.”
Nothing she can say now bothers me because I have thought long and hard about the two times she saved my life and the doll she bought me when she was ten with her last allowance. I worship my sister and I will really really try to get organized only….I am slipping a bit. I really truly am. I did not remember emailing bofa and getting the correct amount and I don’t remember where I got the other amount. Last year I remember going by taxi on a five hour trip to an expensive eye doctor in India and realizing half way there that I had forgotten to bring money. Fortunately my friend Barbara paid and I repaid her but….I have a glitch about money. Have to go….Oprah is on
Anyway so we went to the Bank where I have my new account and they were so very nice. They really like my sister who has made quite a name for herself here. Betty was still a bit perturbed. But if I forget things I will just have to take the consequences that’s all and I will.
We drove….my sister drove…. To the new doctor’s office. He specializes in ALTURNATIVE MEDICINES, you know message therapy, Ayuveda, supplements…stuff I’ve had plenty of in India. I wanted a blood test and a good strong anti-biotic for my virus that my sister doesn’t think I have but I can feel the sour throat and the eye infection etc. My Medicaid case had not been approved yet so they wanted $150 for the first visit…6000 rs. I said we’d be back. No thanks.
Got back home, bank called and they had straightened everything out. Swami. Well there isn’t any Atma here, right? But lets see. He has to test. Do I still think my sweet sister is Swami’s instrument.? Of course. I really will try to b e more organized. Got a call from a lady from second arch at the ashram. She’s visiting her daughter in the USA. Swami. I’ve noticed that whenever things get tough He sends in a little spoon full of sugar to make the medicine go down. Betty bought bananas and I could offer one to my precious Ganapathi. Another spoonful. You know sometimes you have to look hard.

Oh Lord, You rest on the serpent Adishesha. In fact You are the form of Vishnu and all forms, the knower of all languages. And You are the knower of all the arts including sculpture. We worship You during darsan as You are so very handsome, spotless, and egoless. You are also formless and You are fearless causing us to be fearless. Lord Sathya sai is free of illness. Sathya Sai, You are without permanent shelter, and self appointed. You are harmless, stainless, immovable, and the steady principal. The Divine Sai is unchangeable, devoid of changing thoughts, blameless, and invisible.
You are unaccompanied, You like dance, and You are the charming dancer. Lord, You are manifold and You leave Your body upon occaison.
You are Lord Shiva with blue coloured neck, with a dark skin. You sometimes have blue coloured eyes, and You gladden everyone’s eyes. One of great supreme spiritual wealth, you are the greatest beacon light. Salutations to the Kali Yuga Avatar who moves around Puttaparthi, was born in Puttapathi, the Lord of Puttaparthi village and the permanent resident of Puttaparthi village.
Salutations to Lord Sathya Sai Baba, the purifier of the degraded. You are the Lord of Padmapuri, with eyes like lotus petals.
As the form of Lord Vishnu, You have a lotus in Your navel. Oh Lord, You are the scholar of scholars, the lotus faced Lord, Master and Mistress of living beings, and the supreme spirit. You are benevolent, and the most evident, yet remote and proximate. Enveloped in the supreme energy, You are the supreme energy. The most brilliant light in the cosmos, You are our guardian. You seem to like mystics, and You teach charity. Like Shiva, You are eternally pure, the God of five letters, the remover of sins. Oh Lord, You destroy even the worst of the sins, the purifier, and like Shiva, You are white coloured. You are the pingali nadi, and You destroy our suffering. Sathya Sai Baba is indeed the ancient One, the hero of the Puranas, greatest of all.
You released Puttaparthi from the curse, Lord, and You are the most meritorious. In fact, You are the doer of all meritorious deeds. You are the supporter of the virtuous women of the world.You are the destroyer of agony. Sathya Sai is the One who grants the grace from our meritorious acts, and increases our merits, Lord Sai, You enjoy auspicious words, You like auspiciousness, and give the merits of good acts. You are adorned with the thrill of joy, and have eyes like lotus petals. Salutations to Sathya Sai, the embodiment of perfection.

You are the teacher of perfection, and the giver of perfect bliss. Lord Sai, You are the embodiment of honour, primeval, Self illumined, and You accept offerings. You are perceptible, and the only One who is real. Bhagavan Baba, You are everything, the omnipresent “Om”, Embodiment of the creation of “Om”, Lord Sai, You are the bliss of “Om”, You abate the cry of distress.
Peaceful, tranquil, and the protector of the peace, Lord Sathya Sai, You are the resident of Prasanthi Nilayam, the abode of the highest peace.

With luminous divine face, at darsan You graciously destroy the miseries of the pious. You hands are always outstretched in giving, and yet You are the very cause of dissolution. Lord Sai, You are the very breath of life, the giver of life. Salutations to Lord Sathya Sai, the wise, who is dear to all, and very beautiful to see. Bhagavan, You increase our love, inspire our love, the very embodiment of love and You are the form of love. Lord Sathya Sai, You are the embodiment of affection and You have promised to return as Prema Sai. You release us from bondage, destroy evil power.
