My sister and I needed to go to the post office to pick up my visa card. That’s not a Visa to travel but a visa to spend money, So I went into a little branch of the post office and handed this young man the card to pick up the thing. “Oh that’s not in this post office” “Which post office then? “Oh the one over there” “Where is over there” He looked it up in a book and,” wait, I’ll write that down for you” “Thanks”, “OK, have a good day” He had such a beautiful Atmic smile. So we went to a bigger Post Office. I went in and listened to the two people speaking in line in front of me. “ use to charter boats for fishing, I loved it, it was good money,” “Did you love the fish?” I asked softly. “Sure, they never gave me any trouble.” I didn’t ask about the Atma. Got to the Post office clerk. I waited a long time and noticed a child’s drawing pined to his chair. “You have children!” “No, some customer’s kid. Cute kid, she gave me that picture,” I didn’t need to ask about the Atma. It was plainly evident in his happy face. I got the card and then we took it to my sister’s bank. We saw a manager named Christian. “You got a man named Buddha”? I asked and got a look from my sister. We spent the next three hours with this selfless person who lived the Christian creed. We started before 12 but manging to eat a thing of yogurt he just kept on going until he was finished. He said his sugar was low too. I opened an account and closed an account in Calif then I Transferred the money in the new account….but, you know, and if I had’t written this blog my pension would have continued to go to Calif, next month, Atmic Shakthi. I forgot to notify Los Angeles County to send my pension to the new bank. Our duty bound bank manager had a big black plastic spider on his computer. Signs of Atmic joy,” I thought. Then I noticed the large sketch on his wall of many many elephants. “India?” I asked. “Thailand”, I was told. We spoke of India. I told him about Swami, a bit. More speaking of the Atma. Atma is all around but you have to look. Suddenly I was just overcome. I looked around at all the forms this fellow had filled out for me. “Its God,” I said aloud to my sister. “All these forms and regulations. I really don’t quite understand what the Lord has done here” God is definitely the only doer. We left and a white car pulled up. A big burly cop got out. “You got your emergency lights on Ma’m. Any problem?” “No officer, mistake. Thanks for telling me. Thanks so very much because my battery is giving me problems too. “ “That may be why,” he grinned. “My son has been driving,” “That’ll do it,” “Can I give you a hug of thanks,” “Very happy, Ma’m” I got a hug too. Nice big old policeman. That’s right, it was definitely an Atmic hug. One more thing. Yesterday we tried to get the television on but it only played one of the hundreds of channels so I gave up and went back to my place. Next day my sister said she Called “Bright House” and got someone named Ruth. Ruth heard the symptoms and said…yes we can see what is going on in your home from our server. I will b oot you up and that will fix all the TV’s DVD’s and whatever else there is.” Within a minute everything in the house was fixed….by Bright House. What colour is the Atma? Its bright, isn’t it? AND ITS OMNIPRESENT.
What I am saying with all this trivia is that nothing is really trivial. At Prasanthi we just lined up nicely and dashed into the mandir to think about the Atmic Lord incarnate but…..here we have to actually search for the atma but…its definitely here all around us every where
Some time back when I was saying the 1000 names of Devi in English I thought, hummm this gives me such bliss, is there a list somewhere of the 1000 names of our Lord? Well, I found a Sai Sahastranama and it was in English! So I typed it out on my computer so I could say it every day. I sort of expanded it….alot. well, He is all names right, Anyway its pretty long now and alittle exhausting to say all at once, except if you’re in the Mandir. So, I’ll give youall 15 pages a time OK…four times. It’s very beautiful and I do this daily along with the Rudram and Salutations to Mother Earth and Swami’s Astotram. When you are away from our Ashram, you have to do everything you can to stay in touch with Swami. Talking to Him is the best thing you can do though..
