Sai Ram

The world continues as though nothing has changed. Baba is still active in everything. The Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning had a 3 day Summer Course on Indian culture and spirituality for students and staff of the university system.(Photo) It was used to help instill human values, ethics and spiritual basis for their lives on students.

There was also a special video on Baba, group presentation, Baba discourses,

sharing of experiences, cultural and quiz programs, Veda chanting and bhajans.

Some of the thoughts expressed were:

It is the Culture and Spirituality of a nation that determines the character and conduct of each individual.

We need to merge Spirituality of the East with the materialism of the West for the development of the world at large, yet not lose our national identity.

The Sai university system always teaches students to discriminate between right and wrong, making them able citizens to serve the society.

SSSIHL is the dream University of all sages and saints of ancient India and the renaissance period as it provides an ideal blend of the physical and metaphysical.

Before we discharge our duty to the world around us we must realize the universality of the Divine

In order to carry out our duties, we must develop two qualities in ourselves: sensitivity and Integrity. Sensitivity is compassion while Integrity is absolute honesty which also translates into steadfastness.

Sai Baba urged us that when conducting business to keep in mind that the ‘Customer is God.’

The educated have to fruitfully play their role in the upliftment and betterment of the society. They should first become better human beings, as true transformation only comes through a personal example.

Sai Baba has made it very clear that His medium of instruction is discipline, which is the practice of doing the right thing at the right time in the right way. This self-discipline cannot be forced from outside, but has to come from within to be rewarding.

Baba said that patience with the right attitude is life-changing.

True freedom is where our inner peace and happiness does not depend on any externality.

On Friday, the participants moved to Kulwant Hall at 4:30. After Vedam there were summary presentations followed by music program by Brindavan and Prasanthi students.

On Saturday, after Vedam, there were also summaries followed by a music program by Anantapur students.

Many things have been happening all over the world where Baba has been reminding people that nothing has changed. He is more active than ever. In the South Indian Canteen in the ashram vihbuti has been coming from one of Baba’s picture
